Moss Gazing

A Pacific Northwest homage to the Japanese tradition of Hanami, but instead of cherry blossoms, we gathered beneath draping moss to honor ancient constancy rather than fleeting beauty. Guests dined at a table transformed into a lush forest floor, savoring dishes and artwork inspired by the minute wonders of the understory—moss, mushrooms, lichens, and logs—each bite a reminder to find vastness in the tiny, magic in the overlooked, and grounding in green.
