Elysium

Elysium was a pre-wedding celebration reimagined as a sacred gathering of chosen women and femmefolk—those who would walk beside my partner and me into our next chapter. Held at the lakeside where I spent my childhood, the weekend was rich with ritual: foraging and distilling yarrow (a symbol of our relationship), dyeing garments with onion skins to mark transformation, weaving baskets for blessings, and dancing in golden gowns around the fire. Rather than parting ways before marriage, we invited togetherness—honoring kinship, abundance, and joy as the foundation of our union. Each guest left with a vial of yarrow hydrosol: a fragrant keepsake of the golden summer where love, friendship, and the wild all said yes.
