Incantation

Incantation was a full-moon pit firing and seasonal ritual marking the transition from winter to spring. Guests arrived in white, carrying ceramic pieces and symbolic organic offerings to infuse with meaning and flame. Crowned with white twig circlets, they shared intentions before lighting the communal fire. As twilight fell, a hidden glow transformed the circle—crowns sparkled with surprise fairy lights (turned on in secret while eyes were closed), and tea was served from a shadowy Unseelie Tea Set. Candle-shaped gingerbread cakes complimented the mood. The next morning, we unearthed our fire-altered vessels and toasted their rebirth with mimosas. A gathering, a spell, a celebration of change.
